We've Been Tagged!!

Simba King and Precious tagged us for 2 games. The 1st one is a list of 7 things you may not know about me and the second is a picture of me with another animal that has a funny caption. So here goes:

7 things you may not know about me:


1. I was adopted from an SPCA when I was already an adult dog.

2. When Mama took me home she had to teach me that it was okay to go into the house. The first time she had to carry me in, as it was clear that I had never been in a house before and was afraid of getting into trouble if I went in.

3. Mama also had to teach me how to jump up on the couch (so she could cuddle with me on the couch). I had never seen a couch before. Now she can hardly get me off of it!! She wonders what she was thinking!! LOL

4. I like to do fast counter- clockwise spins when I get excited at suppertime!

5. I can do my counter- clockwise spins while running from the kitchen to my food bowl in the bathroom.

6. I have to eat all alone in the bathroom :( because I wolf down my food and then always try to steal Buddy's and Nikki's food (and they let me, but Mama says gotta stop that as I'm getting fat)

7. I recently went into my first agility trial and got a "Q" (Qualifying run) and 1st place on my first run at my very first trial!! In the agility world that is a really big deal!!!!

Some Bunnies For Simba

We saw on Simba's blog that he found a baby bunny that he really really wanted to keep but his mama wouldn't let him. So we thought we would show him about these bunnies living in a Reno, Nevada backyard. Here is the story:

Easter bunny needs a lasting home


They called it the Great Bunny Rescue of 2006. Last February, Utah-based Best Friends Animal Society undertook the biggest rabbit-rescue effort ever, second only to Katrina in terms of the resources the non-profit group had to devote to it. About 1,600 bunnies were living exposed to the elements in a Reno, Nev., backyard, hundreds of them sick and injured. And their numbers were steadily increasing, to the tune of about 50 newborns a day. (Happy ending? Yes - a thousand of the bunnies were adopted, and the rest went to a rabbit sanctuary in Michigan.)....

Holy bunny ears!!! Have you ever seen so many bunnies at once????? Simba I bet if you ask real nice you might be able to get just one of these bunnies for your very own pet!!

Oh Where, Oh Where Is MY Frosty Paws???

Ok, so we've been hearing rumors of some dogs at DWB's enjoying tasty Frosty Paws treats like Wally who was seen reciting poetry while snacking on a tasty Frosty Paws!! (drool, drool)
So we asked Mama "Where is our Frosty Paws treat???" (drool, drool) "We've been good doggies" (I think). But alas... no Frosty Paws in sight.

So I put on my pouty look (didn't work)

So I called in Buddy for his best sad face :((

(no luck)

And Nikki tried her best "Pleassssseeee Mammaaa........." (to no avail)

So, then Nikki got mad

and gave Mama the EVIL EYE!!!

And I decided to EVIL EYE her too!!

So then Mama sent us to our crates :((

And now we are very sad because we still have no Frosty Paws. Tomorrow we might try to doogle ( or is it google?) to look for some Frosty Paws, but if any doggies out there know where we could get some or maybe a recipe we would be yippee skipppee happy if you could let us know!!!

Auction Items We're Getting!

Hi every doggie,
These are the new things that I got the winning bid on at Casper D Dog's auction.

A doggie lifejacket. Here it is modelled by Rev, but soon it'll be me in that lifejacket. Do you think this means Mama is gonna finally take us swimming?

And look at this. It's an iron -on for the front of a t-shirt. It has a picture of Casper D Dog on it, but it's perfect for me since I'm a Casper and a friendly eskie too. I hope Mama wears it to agility classes.

I think some other doggies from DWB's got stuff too. Let us know!

In Honor of Our Special Friend, Fufu the Hamsterrier

This poem is to honor of our special friend, Fufu the Hamsterrier who recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We will truely miss you Fufu! Run and play and be happy Fufu, and one day we will see you again!

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

"Just this side of Heaven is a place called

The Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;

those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,

just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing;

they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

It's Mother's Day!

Buddy's Been Bad!!

Mama is very upset with Buddy lately because he's been running away from home to go and play on the busy streets. Mostly she's just worried that he's going to get run over, and he almost did today!!!


Mama saw him running across a very busy street and 3 cars almost hit him. Luckily, he wasn't hit but Mama almost started to cry as she watched! And Buddy didn't even notice he just kept on running.


You see Buddy loves the freedom of running free and fast. The rest of us doggies feel that the fenced yard is enough room to run around and play, and we don't feel the need to try to escape, but Buddy does.


He keeps making new escape routes and then goes running and running. (And he doesn't look both ways before he crosses the street.) So Mama will block up one escape route and then Buddy being the resourceful terri-poo that he is will just make another escape route.


Today he jumped over the air conditioner and then dug a small hole under the fence and there he went- freedom again!! He was so happy, but Mama wasn't.


You should heard the words coming out of Mama's mouth when she realized this. Oh My Dogness!!!! :0 :0 They sounded like this %&@% and #&@$% !!!!


Anyways after almost getting run over today, Buddy now has to be on a tie out when he's outside in the yard. He seems okay with it, but we all know he's just bidding his time until his next chance to escape and go running! ;)
