Oops- Weve Been Breaking Our New Year's Resolutions

Oh no !!! We must admit we have already broken 5 out of 10 of our New Year's Resolutions

....but we have kept # 10

10. In 2010, we Casper, Buddy and Nikki promise that if we happen to break any or all of the above resolutions, we will look really really cute right afterwards and then give Momma lots of kisses and cuddles so she doesn't get too mad at us. ;)

Yup, we are still keeping this one!!!!

Ten Resolutions For 2010

Our Momma says she doesn't do New Years resolutions anymore so we decided too do some instead. Momma has brought to our attention a few things that we need to improve upon in this next year. Here they are:

From Casper:

1. In 2010, I Casper will take my Momma to an off leash park at least 2 times a week. She really needs more exercise. Buddy and Nikki can come too.

2. In 2010, I Casper will lose some weight and help Momma lose some weight by taking Momma on a leashed walk at least 3 days a week even if it is just a short one around the block.

3. In 2010, I Casper will not eat frozen poopcicles and then come in to the house and try to kiss Momma. I will also tell Buddy not to do this either.

4. In 2010, I Casper will not eat holes in Momma's jacket or pants pockets in an attempt to get that last kibble, kibble crumb or treat if Momma happens to leave her jacket on the chair.

5. In 2010, I Casper will stop counter surfing for food- No No, I really can't promise this. I take it back - this is just to hard for me to do.... (sorry Momma)

From Buddy:

6. In 2010, I Buddy will not escape the yard and go on a mad dash running around the neighbourhood endlessly, dashing in front of cars and worrying Momma to death that I will get run over or lost forever.

From Nikki:

7. In 2010, I Nikki will not bark endlessly in that high pitched bark when I think it should be supper time.

8. In 2010, I Nikki will not bark endlessly when outside and I see a person or another dog.

9. In 2010, I Nikki will finally learn to heel so I too can do Rally-O too.

And from all 3 of us doggies:

10. In 2010, we Casper, Buddy and Nikki promise that if we happen to break any or all of the above resolutions, we will look really really cute right afterwards and then give Momma lots of kisses and cuddles so she doesn't get too mad at us. ;)

Did any other doggies make any resolutions?

'Twas the Dog's Night Before Christmas

'Twas the Dog's night before Christmas,
When all through the doghouse

Not a doggie was stirring,
Not even a mouse;

The dog's stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The puppies were curled all snug in their dogbeds,
While visions of cookies & bones danced in their heads;

And Ma Dog and I were curled together,
All warm and cuddly, out of the cold weather.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my dogbed to see what was the matter.

To the window I jumped, as I am an agility dog,
Tore open the curtains and looked into the fog.

When what to my wondering eyes should I see,
A sleigh and four reindogs all cute as can be.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

Then faster than flyball dogs they came,
And he whistled, shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Rudolph! Now, Casper! Now, Buddy! Now Nikki!
Run on, run on! We must go quickly."

"To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall!
Hurry on, hurry on, reindogs all."

And then, in a twinkling, upon the roof I saw,
The prancing and dogprints of each little dog paw.

And St. Nick filled the dog's stockings with toys,
And treats and stuffies for all the dog girls and dog boys.

And he left us with extra things too,
Bones, collars and leashes for the dogs in rescue.

Then he sprang up to the sleigh, and gave the reindogs a hoot,
And away they all flew to deliver the rest of the loot.

That's when I heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight,
Happy Christmas to all dogs and to all dogs a goodnight!

Woofs, from Casper, Buddy and Nikki ;)

The Blue Box- Part 1

Nikki: "OMD- the blue box is out and is getting clothes put in it"
Nikki: you know what that means- she's going somewhere.
Do you think she'll notice if I just curl up in here?

Nikki: Hey I fit perfect!
Now she won't forget to pack me.

Casper: Don't worry Nikki- I'll block the door.
She can't get past me!
I'll make sure she packs us.

Agility Chain Letter

Momma received this Agility Chain letter. Should we be worried?

Agility Chain letter

Pass it on...

Are you continually losing out to inferior dogs at agility trials? In the agility ring, does your dog forget his own name?
This simple chain letter is meant to bring relief and happiness to you. Unlike most chain letters, it doesn't cost money.

1.Simply send a copy of this email to six other agility dog owners who are dissatisfied with the way their dogs are running.

2.Then bundle up your dog and send him to the dog owner at the top of this list, and add your name to the bottom of the list.

3.Do not use a return address or the post office may try to contact you!

4.In one week, you will receive 16,436 dogs, and at least one of them should be a keeper.

Have faith in this letter. Do not break the chain. One owner broke the chain and got his own dog back. ;)

Names:
1
2
3
4
5
6

She's just kidding. Right? Right?.....

Momma's Been Busy Playing Muscial Dogs

Musical Dogs
Huh??
What do ya mean?
Could it be piano playing dogs?

Nope.
Maybe Ipod loving dogs?

Nope.
(but boy is he a cutie)
Maybe instead of musical dogs
it's a doggie musical?

Nope.
Hummmm....
How about
Dogs The Musical ?

Nope.
What then?
How is Momma playing 'musical dogs?
Well it goes like this:
Momma is the volunteer Foster Home Coordinator at a doggie rescue and soon it will be Xmas.
So Momma needs to make arrangements to move doggies around 'cause the foster people are going away for Xmas and their foster doggies need to go somewhere.
We told Momma that maybe all the foster doggies could come and stay with us.
Really, what's another 7 or 8 doggies visiting? But Momma said no way!
So here is how it's (hopefully) gonna work:
First of all a new Shih Tzu named Cuddles is coming in sometime soon and Momma will have to find a temporary foster home for him to go to till we can arrange for him to go to his new foster home in another city.
Then Momma is going to arrange for Yellow Buddy to stay at a foster home that doesn't have kids as he is not good with kids and there will be kids coming for Xmas to his current foster home.
But the foster home that Yellow Buddy is going to over Xmas is already fostering Mojo and temporarily fostering Chip, Tiara AND Roxy.
So Momma is arranging for Chip, Tiara and Roxy to all go to new foster homes till they are adopted.
Which is great but Tiara's new foster home is also going away for Xmas and so Momma is arranging for a different foster home to take Tiara while Tiara's new foster people are away.
And then there are the puppies Skittle and Hershey. They are currently in 2 separate foster homes and Momma is arranging for them to be fostered somewhere too while each of their foster home people are away.
Got that all straight??
And what have we been doing
while Momma has been on the phone
and computer playing musical dogs?
We will show you:
Hanging out.

Napping.

Sleeping.

All that musical doggies has us very tired!

PS If you want to see Yellow Buddy, Mojo, Chip, Tiara, Roxy, Skittle and Hershey go here

See ya.

REPLY TO: CASPER NEEDS HOME

Thank you doggies for all your support! No Momma is not really looking for a new home for me. She was just playing the google game: Fill your name into the blank.

________ needs

and then google to see what the results are. She has promised I don't need to start looking for another home. Thanks for all your concern!

The Answer To Why Meeko Was A Conehead (As Told By Meeko Himself!..)

I Was Sent to the V-E-T place
And
They Un- Dewclaw -ed me!
But Most Shockingly ...

They Neuter-al-ized me!
However in the spirit of getting back at all of them
I waited till Momma was asleep.
Then I slipped my head out of that silly cone
and proceeded to pull out all of my stitchies.
Ha ha ha ha
Oh what a suprise
Foster Momma had
when she woke up!
Yes, there was blood all over.
So she had to clean me up and apply pressure.
Luckily she took pity on me
and decided that I only needed steri-strips
instead of more stitchies
- or dog forbid -
staples!
The bad news was that I had to endure the cone
for an additional 6 days!! :(
Thank dog that my time is done.
I am now parolled
from the cone.
Yay!!

Tell me all you beautiful girlie doggies-
Do I still look manly to you?

;)

Belated Thank You to Koobie for the Prizies

Do you remember this lovely hat picture of me?

Well I won a prize for it in Koobie's Easter Bonnet Contest way back in April. It took awhile for the prize to get to us, mostly because of Momma being so slow in sending our address to Koobie. Momma says it was Canada Post that was slow but we don't think so......

Then of course we went into lockdown while Momma went on Va-CAT-ion!

Remember?

Well when we came home from lockdown

there was a package for us
and guess who it was from?

Koobuss

And guess what was in it?

These toys:

And this treat:

I quickly took custody
of the wonderful spiral pizzle
and I must say

Yuummmyyyyy
Yuummmyyyyy
Yuummmyyyyy

It was so good in my tummy!!

;)

Nikki quickly took custody
of the little stuffy bone
(that's okay - I can share )
and she proceed to de-squeek it!

She really likes little stuffy toys that squeek
( or don't squeek)!

Oh oh, she has competition.
Meeko likes it too!

Now Nikki has decided to hide it from Meeko.

Can you find it?

Monday, 9 June 2008

Hi all DWB friends,

So as I said we went into lockdown and Momma went on Va-CAT-ion. Now at first I thought it was just a regular vacation, but then I realized it was actually a Va-CAT-ion when I found these pictures on her camera. See the proof is here. What do you think of that? We are in lockdown and she is visiting and taking pictures of cats!!

Hummph!!
