Agility Trial Tomorrow
Hi Everydoggie and GG,
Guess What? Tonight Momma, Buddy and me (Casper) are going to another city for an agility trial tomorrow. We have never done that before. All the agility trials we have done have been in our city or just outside our city. Guess what this means?
We get to stay in a hotel!!
Maybe this one:
Or this one:
Yay! That's new too. Us doggies have never stayed in a hotel before either!! We are very excited doggies.
Momma has told us that we have to be very good. No barking-------------WHAT ?? NO BARKING??? BUT WE ARE DOGS, MOMMA. WE LOVE TO BARK!!!.....
Okay Momma, no barking inside the hotel.
And Momma says we are staying with another lady and her Porguegese Water Dog, so we must be well behaved.
Okay, Momma, we will behave.
And Momma also says that we really have to do our best at the agility trial. This is a team trial. It is sort of like a relay. First one agility handler and doggie run the course and then the other agility handler and doggie run the course. We get a combined score. Momma says that if we mess up,it also affects the other doggies score too. Oh oh I guess that means no ZOOMIES for me! And no running off into the corners to sniff at things for Buddy.
Okay Momma we will try our best.
We will tell Momma to take lots of pictures with her new camera and when we get back we can post all about it.
Nikki has to stay home. Momma says she barks too much to stay in a hotel, and besides Nikki doesn't go into agility trials. Nikki gets to go and stay at Jo's house. Nikki loves it there because there are lots and lots of toys and other doggies to play with. So she will have a great time too.
See ya when we get back!!

Rest Easy Brandi
Momma has been too upset to do this post so I decided to do it for her. She crys everytime she talks about it.
We had to say goodbye to Brandi last week. Momma took Brandi to be peacefully euthanized on Jan 9/08 at 2:15 pm. This decision had to be made after she repeatedly and viciously attempted to attack a dog trainer. The dog trainer did not get hurt, but that was only because of the trainer's extensive experience in dealing with dogs with issues. If Brandi had managed to hurt this trainer it would have been a very severe injury. Brandi had also previously bit someone else and it was clear that she had no bite inhibition. This decision had to be made because Brandi was not safe to be adopted out to anyone. Even Momma was afraid of Brandi after she saw what happened.
Momma explained to us that is was not Brandi's fault. No one took the time to socialize her when she was younger. Most likely she was removed from her momma dog and littermates early. No one took the time to socialize her or teach her manners, good dog behavior, or obedience. We believe she was mostly left out in a yard. She even had a litter of puppies when she was very young herself because she had not been spayed.
We want to know why do people get dogs if they are not going to be responsible dog owners? It makes Momma very angry and we just don't understand it.
Brandi did have many good quailities too and that's what made it really hard for Momma.
Brandi we will remember the good things about you:
You were such a cutie. Such a pretty girl.
You ran and played like a big huge puppy.
When it was time to go outside you would pick up a toy as you ran to the door and you would carry it outside with you.
You loved to be outside in the snow running around with one of your favorite stuffed toys in your mouth.
You were such a happy girl playing with your toys.
You loved to pick up a toy and toss it and then go and get it yourself. You would endlessly repeat this play.
We are so sorry Brandi. Rest Easy. Run and play at the Rainbow's Bridge.
Momma has decided to take a bit of a break from fostering. She says this one was just too hard. We will take care of Momma. When she cries we will cuddle with her and Nikki will lick her tears.

Momma's Too Busy!!
Momma got a new job in addition to her old one. Us doggies are finding that she is so busy now that she is not spending time with us or our bloggie. We have had to resort to finding our own entertainment. Mostly we sleep. Sometime we wrestle and play. Here is a picture of Nikki and me wrestling.
We gotta go now. We are gonna try to get Momma to take us to agility classes!! YAY!!

Another Foster Dog!
Report from Casper:
On Dec 22/07 another foster dog from New Hope Dog Rescue came to stay with us. Her name is Brandi. She's really cute. Just look at her pictures.
Yes Brandi's cute and all, but us doggies (Nikki, Buddy and myself, Casper) don't really like her that much. Momma says we all have to learn to get along. And we say "Momma, Brandi's so big. She tries to play with us but she runs us over instead and she gets in our face and she rips up all our stuffies too"
And Momma just says "BE A GOOD CASPER, BE NICE TO BRANDI"
Hummmppphhh
Signed Casper :((
