Defective E- Cards- Part 2

Okay, here's the poop. Apparently SOME of our E- Cards came through showing the picture while OTHER E-Cards are only showing a red X. The Head Elf In Charge of E-cards (aka Momma) has formulated a plan that has saved her from being fired. She will be arranging to send E-Cards through http://www.doggroups.com/ It's actually the exact same picture as we sent before but just sending it in a different way.

So PLEASE let us know if you recieved an E-Card with a picture that didn't come through. We will send you one the new way. We really want to send our Holiday Wishes out to all our Friends at DWB's.

PS-If this new way doesn't work we will be interviewing for a new person to fill the position of Head Elf In Charge of E-Cards and Momma will be looking for employment elsewhere!

Defective E- Cards and more...

Dear Doggies ,

We just recently sent out some of the DWB's Christmas Exchange cards as E- cards. Momma said we had to choose between sending out all real cards OR getting doggie treats for Christmas !! Imagine that ! Something about the "buggie -et". Whatever. Of course, since we are all obsessed with food, we decided get the treats at Christmas and therefore sent some doggies virtual cards. We admit to our treat addiction (hanging head in shame). They say admitting it is the first step.

Sweets has let us know that on her e-card the picture didn't come through. WHAT?? All I have to say is "bad, bad computer". We are working on fixing this situation. Please let us know if the same thing happened to your e- card.

We HOPE some of the E- cards worked or we may have to consider firing the "Head Elf In Charge of E-Cards" (aka Momma). Perhaps we will consider keeping her on if we find out that some E-Cards actually did work.

If you didn't recieve an e-card yet that probably means that Canada Post still has it's paws on your paper- type card. For that we take no responsibily. (Can't even blame the Head Elf for that one). Sometimes Canada Post likes to keep cards in it's paws for awhile. ;)

Nikki's V-E-T Adventure

Hi everydoggie and GG,

It's Nikki blogging here,

Guess what? I had to go to the V-E-T two times in the last week! Not good! . I guess Momma noticed about 2 weeks ago that my right eye was tearing alot and I was rubbing it. I was closing it alot too. I would only look through my left eye and walk around with my right eye closed. I tried to tell her I was winking, but she wouldn't believe me.

So off we went to the V-E-T. Although I like them, it had only been a couple of months since I had been there. That was when they cleaned my teethies and stole 4 of them! So I was being really careful not to let them near my teethies, but they didn't even try to take more teethies. Instead they pinned me down, and MUZZLED me! :0 Oh My Dog !! Can you imagine??? And Momma told them to do that!!! Bad Mommma!!!!! Bad Bad Mommma !!!!

Well, Momma knows that if I get hurt or think I am getting hurt that I will protect myself with a nip or a bite. So I guess they thought it was for the best. Then they put a bunch of flourescent green dye in my eye, shut off the lights and brought in a special light to look for ulcers (scratches) on my eye. Well sure enough, one area lit up and it showed that I had an ulcer on my eye.

They think that maybe Buddy scratched me when we were wrestling or possibly I scratched it when I was running my face along the ground trying to get the EVIL HALTI off. I personally think it happened because of the EVIL HALTI and I don't think I should have to wear it anymore!!

Since then I've had to get drops and ointment put in my eye 3 times a day. Yuck! Momma has to bundle me all up and lie me on my side so I don't struggle and then she puts the drops in. I do my best to get away from the drops and ointment each time. ;)

And I had to wear a cone sometimes at home too. I kept running into the walls and so then I was afraid to move and just sat in one spot all the time and Momma kept calling me "Nikki The Conehead" and laughing at me.

I had to go back after 5 days and get the flourescent test done again. This time they only had to hold me down and didn't have to muzzle me as my eye wasn't as sore. And guess what? It's all better. I still have to get drops and ointment once a day, but I don't have to be a "conehead" anymore!

Winnie Found Her Furever Home!

Yay for Winnie!!! She's adopted and has a new home!

Winnie was adopted on November 16. She went to her new home and settled in there like she had always lived there. :)) She was adopted by a young couple (and their big dog named Samson). Winnie gets along very well with Samson. And she gets to go to the off-leash dog park twice a day! COOL!

Momma was very sad the day she drove Winnie to her new home. She was even crying, so we made sure to give Momma lots of cuddles that day. And we reminded Momma of all the other doggies we have to help to find their furever homes too.

The really good thing is that Winnie now only lives about 10 blocks away from us and goes to the same off-leash dog park as we do. We are quite sure we will get to visit with her occasionally. Momma is very happy about that!
